Our 3 years research into fixing my diabetes and associated ailments and health break down, uncovered much that you need to know, (as well as me, I am 80) Studies show many of the people in rest homes were not there because of aging but because of what they did in life choices, most of which you may have time to still correct.

Not going to bore you with dozens of studies (believe me, we look at hundreds) but these answers to the problem become apparent.

Top reasons, I see that you are likely to get sent to a rest home earlyfor the rest of your years:

  1. Mental and memory decline
  2. Lose ability to take care of your self and make right decisions.
  3. Bones become brittle, hollow and you may fall and wind up with fractured hip etc which for many in a short time ends it.

Taking up first: memory and mental decline, remember, they are likely to say when you do not remember to "shut off the burners" on the stove you are a danger and no longer able to look after yourself... Turns out much of memory problems ARE NOT from aging, they are from chemical induced damage accumulated over time. Many medications it turns out, plus many everyday toxic substances cause memory and other mental problems. (this is not my opinion, this is my reporting, we invite you to do your own research. ) Will go into just two to illustrate.

  1. Cholesterol lowering drugs and Statins. Very serious side affect. Your brain runs on cholesterol as brain fuel so to speak and these drugs "had impaired" this normal use and function of cholesterol, Studies showing these BAD "brain functions" side affects have been around and well KNOWN for a long time, and studies recently re-verified how serious this is.
  2. Now regarding an example of an everyday toxic substance we guarantee you are likely eating every day. MSG (monosodium glutamate),an inexpensive substance added in huge quantities to food (more and more each year, huge increases) confuses your brain into thinking this food is delicious, is added to processed and restaurant food everywhere.

    No matter how you try, you almost can not avoid it.
MSG raises the amount of the amino acid glutamate in the brain, which in high levels, causes the death of nerve cells.

You think you can avoid this by reading labels, you can not, it is in MOST restaurant food so you get it unknowingly,

Reading labels does not work because on processed food because they now disguise MSG (monosodium glutamate),with new names.

Food m2anufacturers have developed new names such as autolyzed yeast extract, hydrolyzed protein,, soy protein isolate, and at least five other disguises now that people have become aware to avoid MSG on labels.

These are just examples of dozens of substances, particularly prescriptions that have this as a side affect that no one is telling you about, (including your doctor who may not even know), or considers giving you something for your immediate problem the "need" and gets you out of his office in the allotted 15 minutes, both happy, that you have "been taken care of".

The toxic substances (not just MSG, it was just an example) in processed and fast food and restaurant chain food, (almost 100%) add chemicals that entice you back for more plus trans fats, high fructose corn syrup and artificial sweeteners that are all serious mental and nerve health hazards, worse one of all aspartame found in diet drinks and all sorts of food in place of sugar,

Aspartame is an ant nerve poison, (used to kill ants) is toxic in the human brain and is reported to accumulate as formaldehyde..

We constantly harp on the ratio of Omega 6 fats, to Omega 3 as being one of the causes of major health problems in US is also turning up reported as a negative affect on brain problems according to latest evidence...

Meat high in omega-6 fats are grain fed (correct ratio in grass fed) and in man made oils from cottonseed, corn, safflower, sunflower, peanut, soybean and canola oils,. (these are man made and do NOT exist in nature.)

High sugar and carbohydrates are also known to significantly interfere with brain function. .....it most likely is what you are inputting, not getting old that is the problem, many diseases are cumulative like diabetes and the results show up after years and is called "adult" onset.

My personal decision was that I could work at it full time and likely still not be able to avoid all of it. The only solution was to switch totally to food that is in a natural un-added to state.

The following formula has done miracles for me.

Our criteria, if it wont rot or spoil, do not eat it. If my ancestors could not have gotten it with a sharp stick or a rock, don't eat it, and if it did not run, swim or fly growing up. don't buy it.

Secondly, suggest adding supplements that improve brain function, If you have been on Statins or cholesterol lowering drugs, for example many say you are likely to be greatly benefited taking CoQ10 which studies show it helps Repair heart muscle and protect your brain from disease and degeneration that went along with the previous treatment..

Being Able To Look After Your Self
When you started out in life they gave you a very small space. As life went on your play pen kept getting bigger and bigger. The front yard, then the block...soon the neighborhood and then the world.
As you get older it is the opposite. The rest home is the ultimate small space outside of a hospital bed on the way down.

The trick here is to keep your play pen (area you move in) as large as possible, as long as possible.World Traveler, then just the US. Then around the State, eventually just around the city and then around your block and then around your yard, then your house, then around your bedroom etc.

To Keep Your World From Imploding, You Need To Be In Shape.

Most find it easier and easier, less and less active on one excuse or another, to just become more and more a vegetable, and wind up in a hole in the ground, completely motionless.(do you see yourself here?)
You need to Work At This.
