Diabetics Rarely Die of Diabetes

Their Big Risk Is Of Heart Attack Etc

Controlling your blood sugar is the traditional, so called proven way to reduce your risk of heart attack.

A recent study were a large number of Individuals with type 2 diabetes were intensively treated (with drugs) to lower and control their blood sugar levels to affect heart attacks, strokes etc. wound up with a higher death rate, then a control group with tradition actions.

That study was stopped, because of the additional deaths, now a recent similar study in Australia, this one easing in over a longer period of time to lowering blood sugar essentially wound up as about the same as those not trying to make tight control of blood sugar levels the target.

Both of these set the industry tongues wagging since this was not the expected result.

Diabetics have a 20.2 percent chance of a heart attack over a seven-year period, according to the American Diabetes Association.

This does not mean that Diabetes is the cause, it means what ever is causing the diabetic problems is also likely the same thing causing other problems.
The big consideration in these studies was the medication being used itself had a reputation of increasing heart problems so apparently the intensive use of it lowered the blood sugar that supposedly helped with heart damage but the drug itself apparently induced additional heart incidents, in the US study actually increasing the total.

In Australia, winding up a wash, instead of the lowering of the heart attacks etc that lowering of the blood sugar levels more completely was supposed to do.

Our research and reading over 250 books on the subject makes it fairly clear that the high blood sugar spikes cause high insulin and the high insulin levels set off or worsen the odds of these other problems.

The thing to be avoided is high insulin levels and in order to do that you need to cut out what ever causes high blood sugar spikes.
Our idea and observation is that the man made chemicals (prescriptions)likely cause more problems (and earlier death) then not using them. Therefore your author and others control their blood sugar with diet change, exercise and supplements, completely weaning off of medications in a short period of time, usually one month,

Conventional medical practice and the Diabetes and other associations is to suggest continued eating of carbs and taking medications etc to compensate for it.

We and many others consider this to be continuing the problem that started it all in the first place, preferring to eliminate all input that causes sugar spikes and thereby correct the problem without side medication that must constantly be incased etc and bringing on whole new sets of problems.
As a diabetic, there are several steps that you need to take to lower your chance of having diabetes-related problems such as heart attack and stroke and that is to lower it naturally.

To keep score of how you are doing:

  • You need every three months an A1c test, known as hemoglobin A1c (Acrobat). It measures the average blood glucose over the last three months.
You want to get eventually down in the 5 range and if you get over 7 you need to take drastic steps, including going on Metformin medication or something similar until you learn how and get adjusted to get a lower level without.
  • We believe you need to know the Insulin level you are running. Is your body making several times the normal insulin level trying to control you blood sugar (high insulin resistance build up) and potentially doing all sorts of damage,
The other thing it will clear up, has your pancreas shut down or is it starting to be shutting down.
We are amazed most doctors are not interested in the insulin level and do not even test to find which of the former is the problem. We think it VERY IMPORTANT you know what your insulin level is doing and which way it is trending.

  • We hear that likely a better determiner of longevity for a diabetic is how good he is controlling his blood pressure.
Keeping your blood pressure below 120/80 decreases the amount of work on and strain on your heart and also reduces kidney problems.
  • You need to ride close watch also on your triglycerides, which is amount of fats circulating in your blood stream
  • One more test is AB reactive protein test.

You will need to make some drastic lifestyle choices to help keep your diabetes under control by drastically modifying your diet.

What causes your diabetes, (high sugar spikes for years) also causes you to gain weight.
When you learn to eliminate foods that cause sugar spikes you also eliminate fat making. Your fat will automatically go down and in doing so helps your body handle the diabetes part better.

You will automatically stay at a healthy weight by eating this new diet high in fat, no sugar or flour, and low or no carbohydrates. All this with high fat high protein and high in fiber.

Exercise for 30 minutes a day, minimum shooting for 10,000 steps a day.

We suggest strength training to develop new muscle which really solves the blood sugar problem effectively.
Most have lowered muscle mass and even that remaining muscle has become strongly insulin resistant. Refuses to allow high levels of insulin to force these muscles to absorb the excess blood sugar levels you are running.
If you are still smoking you know by now you have to stop smoking to help improve your blood vessels and heart health.
